What is a Triskallian?

A Triskallian is a symbol that we have encountered in several different cultures throughout the course of our travels. In Celtic lore, the three spheres of the Triskallian represent land, sea and sky, with each aspect ever flowing outward and always returning to the A Triskallianpoint from which it started. The Hopi Indians of the Southwestern United States utilized this symbol to signify the concept of several returns or homecomings.

The idea that everything in life flows outward, but then returns to its origins, resonated deeply with us as travelers. Traveling is in a sense flowing outward, and then returning with the lessons that one has learned. Each Triskallian Tours program is designed for our travelers to engage in maximum learning, discovery and personal growth. For our student travelers to gain these lessons and values and return home and apply them to their lives at home is the essence of the Triskallian symbol and the primary objective behind our exciting programs.
